To keep the ball rolling with something new to learn, I decided to share a series I have been watching.
Networking is a big part of an IT department’s job. Administrators must be sure everyone on the network can access their emails and file sharing capabilities especially, as these are essential to projects big and small.
I have found a video series that will help anyone trying to learn more about the foundations of networking topology or even just looking for ways to optimize their home network.
This series even has a Microsoft Certification that you can make a goal for a later date.
I will be posting the first video here for you:
The videos are all quite lengthy but luckily we can always pause and take a break whenever we want. If you like the first video in the series, or just want to see more of what this is actually about, there are two options;
Microsoft Virtual Academy: Click Here *Includes optional assessments with each module and powerpoints are downloadable. Videos downloadable in MP4 only.
MSDN Channel 9 : Click Here *No assessments or powerpoint downloads. Videos available in MP4 and WMV formats. There is also an option of MP3 (audio only)
Note: This is not directly related to programming but, it is still helpful to anyone interested in becoming a part of an IT department. The more knowledge you bring to the table the better.
Please share your own thoughts in the comments section. And remember, we’re here to learn together.
